Custom Gameplay

Below you can find examples of the types of tournaments we host at PTCGP League! In total, our events have had an attendance of over 4,000 (including more than 2,500 unique players).

Custom Challenge Series

Our first season of the Custom Challenge series ran from November 2024 - July 2025 and featured a total of 13 events, plus an invite-only season finale! Each tournament featured its own special ruleset - these ranged from simple restrictions related to type or rarity, to more specific ones related to attack costs, art styles, and bench damage. Each event allowed for flexible 3-day rounds in order to accommodate participants from around the world.Lead Organizers: Rabidragon, Pinon, Quackles

Blast from the Past

As more sets release and older cards become less viable, players find themselves wanting to revisit those old cards. Enter the "Blast from the Past" series, where we wind the clock back to a previous point in Pocket's history and require players to use only cards that were available at that time.Lead Organizer: Klodde

Gym Showdown

As close to a pre-constructed format as we've explored thus far, Gym Showdown required each player to select a Gym Leader and use a specific set of cards associated with that character.Lead Organizer: Rabidragon

Extreme Speed

Something different from our usual structure, this was a fast-paced tournament designed to be completed from start to finish in under 2.5 hours. Players were surprised by the customized ruleset revealed just 30 minutes before the tournament start... they had to build fast and play even faster!Lead Organizer: Rabidragon

Hot Streak

Not for the faint-hearted, players had to continue battling their opponent until someone was able to win 3 straight games. Players were able to change decks anytime which led to some fun mind games. This one took commitment, and we had 50 high-quality players take up the challenge!Lead Organizer: Rabidragon
